2024 Olympic Photo Gallery: Photographer and ‘man-about-town’ John Thomson was very busy in Paris during the Olympic Games, and so after his very popular ‘Montmartre Olympic Road Race Photo Gallery’, he has put together a part 2 – More great memories from Paris.

John Thomson: “This is part two of my ‘Montmartre Olympic Road Race’ photo gallery. It includes shots of the men and women on the Côte de la Butte Montmartre at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Mathieu, Wout, more Remco, Eddy at the Giro and women cross riders who rocked at the Tour de France Femmes avec Swift. Plus other miscellaneous goodies and of course van Gogh and Toulouse-Lautrec.”

With Mathieu and Wout maybe possibly getting closer to peak career, I couldn’t resist a look back to Essen 2016
When I look at this picture all I can think about is his Olympic gold in the MTB. The battle back and the last lap pass for the win was just epic Superman Tom Pidcock

Being with all the fans on the Butte de Montmartre was great. During the men’s race there were French songs being played and the crowd was singing along. It was an amazing atmosphere unlike most other bike races

Eddy at the Giro. A scan from Bicisport magazine and one of my all time favorite shots of the Cannibal. Shot with a flash and probably on a Rolleiflex, because sometimes technique is everything
